Reading Lacrosse Association opens Summer Sixes registration as Youth Hockey program enters its off-season.
READING -- With no high school games on the schedule and youth hockey in its off-season, the Reading Lacrosse Association's Summer Sixes program takes center stage for local athletes this week.
YOUTH LEAGUES
The Reading Youth Lacrosse Association (RYLA) has opened registration for its 2026 Summer Sixes season. Sessions run two days per week on Monday, Tuesday, and/or Wednesday evenings at Reading Memorial High School from June 8 through July 30. Each one-hour session includes approximately 30 minutes of skills and drills followed by a 30-minute Sixes-style game — a fast-paced 5-on-5 format with a goalie and limited face-offs. Space is limited, and RYLA encourages early sign-up. The association notes the program is a strong opportunity for players interested in Select lacrosse to get additional reps and be seen by coaches.
Reading Youth Hockey, established in 1972, lists 312 registered players and 23 program teams on its website. No games or registration events were reported for this period.
